When the SaaS Question Deserves a Considered Answer

Pelita Group works alongside Malaysian organisations weighing subscription software decisions — with the patience to examine what is actually needed, not merely what is available.

Our Services

Three Engagements, Each with a Defined Scope

We do not offer an all-purpose retainer. Each service addresses a particular kind of decision, at the moment it arises.

SaaS Suitability Conversation

SaaS Suitability Conversation

A short engagement for organisations weighing whether to retire a long-running on-premise application. We examine data sovereignty obligations, compare subscription costs against capitalised software, and produce a measured suitability note.

  • Finance, HR and operations functions
  • On-premise vs SaaS cost analysis
  • Written suitability note delivered

Vendor Consolidation Advisory

Vendor Consolidation Advisory

A longer engagement for organisations carrying overlapping SaaS subscriptions. We catalogue every active subscription, examine actual usage against contracted seats, and deliver a written consolidation paper with three costed scenarios.

  • Full subscription catalogue and usage audit
  • Three consolidation scenarios, costed
  • Finance and IT operations collaboration

Subscription Lifecycle Workshop

Subscription Lifecycle Workshop

A two-day workshop on managing a portfolio of SaaS subscriptions — covering onboarding, seat management, renewal negotiation and retirement. Closes with a written subscription playbook the client may circulate internally.

Why Pelita Group

What We Bring to the Conversation

Our work is measured, not promotional. We describe what we actually do rather than what we think you wish to hear.

Impartial Assessment

We are not affiliated with any SaaS vendor. Our suitability notes reflect operational realities, including the cases where on-premise software remains the more sensible arrangement.

Written Deliverables

Every engagement closes with a document — a suitability note, a consolidation paper or a subscription playbook — that remains useful long after the advisory relationship ends.

Usage-Level Scrutiny

In vendor consolidation work, we examine actual seat usage rather than accepting contracted figures at face value. The quiet overspend often resides in the gap between the two.

Malaysian Market Familiarity

Data sovereignty obligations under PDPA, the procurement culture of Malaysian corporates and the local SaaS pricing landscape are considerations we bring to every engagement.

Defined Scope, Clear Fee

Each engagement has a fixed scope and a published fee. There are no ambiguous retainers, no scope creep and no incentive to extend an engagement beyond its natural conclusion.

Cross-Function Facilitation

SaaS decisions rarely belong to a single department. Our workshops bring finance, IT and operational owners into the same room, working from the same information.

A Short Conversation Costs Nothing

Before any engagement begins, we listen. Describe your situation, and we will tell you plainly whether our services are a suitable fit — and if not, we will say so.

Frequently Asked

Questions Often Raised Before Engaging

What kinds of organisations do you typically work with? +
We work primarily with mid-size Malaysian organisations — companies with between 100 and 2,000 employees — where SaaS spending has grown through departmental initiative rather than central planning. Finance functions, IT operations teams and procurement departments are the most frequent points of contact.
How long does an engagement typically take? +
The SaaS Suitability Conversation typically concludes within two to three weeks. The Vendor Consolidation Advisory runs four to six weeks depending on the breadth of subscriptions in scope. The Subscription Lifecycle Workshop is delivered over two consecutive working days, with scheduling agreed at the point of engagement.
Do you recommend specific SaaS products or vendors? +
We do not. Our role is to assess suitability and structure, not to steer clients toward particular vendors. We have no referral arrangements or commercial relationships with software providers, which is a condition we consider important to the integrity of our advice.
What is included in the written deliverables? +
For the Suitability Conversation, a suitability note covering the assessment criteria, our findings and a plain recommendation — which may be to proceed with SaaS adoption or to retain the existing system. For Vendor Consolidation, a written paper with three costed scenarios. For the Workshop, a subscription playbook structured for internal circulation.
Are the fees fixed or are there additional costs? +
The published fees are fixed for each engagement as described. Travel outside Kuala Lumpur would be discussed and agreed in advance if required. There are no retainer extensions or additional billing without your prior agreement.
How do we handle the confidentiality of internal data shared during an engagement? +
All engagements operate under a signed confidentiality agreement. Financial data, subscription catalogues and internal documentation shared during the advisory process are not retained beyond the engagement, and are handled in compliance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
